MIDI Sherlock Microbial Identification Systems (MIS) identify microorganisms based on the unique fatty acid pattern of each strain. The system uses Agilent Technologies gas chromatographs, MIDI microbial databases and MIDI pattern recognition software to identify each strain. The extensive databases currently have over 2000 entries, including aerobic bacteria, anaerobic bacteria and yeasts. |
